Terms and Conditions

Important : We have kept them as short as possible so please take a moment to read through the following carefully, as your use of our site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions!

Placing an Order

Whilst we accept orders by telephone, fax, post and e-mail, by placing your order online you are guaranteed of receiving our most competitive prices. Many of these prices are reserved solely for purchases made in our online shop, due to the ease of processing this type of order, and therefore are not available for orders placed through other methods. For this reason we advise you to order online whenever possible!

Minimum Order Value

We are happy to process any order for MG parts, irrespective of it’s value. However, when placing your order please remember that our minimum delivery charge is £10.00 excluding vat.

Payment

All orders are charged in UK pounds Sterling. Payment can be made by credit or debit card, and these transactions will appear on your card statement as Midland Sports & Classics Ltd. For your protection all card details given online are transmitted to us through secure 128 bit encryption. More detailed information concerning this may be found in our Privacy Policy.

UK Shipping

With the exception of a few large or heavy items all parcels for delivery to UK mainland addresses are sent at a standard charge of £10.00 excluding vat. All parcels must be signed for upon delivery. If you are out at the time of delivery the carrier will leave a card with the consignment details in order for you to contact their local depot to arrange a suitable delivery time. Parcels can also be sent to your office or place of work if this is more convenient. Please Note : Any parcel delivered without a signature on the instructions of a customer is done so entirely at the customer’s own risk. Neither Midland Sports & Classics nor the delivery company will accept any responsibility for loss or damage to consignments delivered in this way, and therefore we strongly recommend you ensure that there is always someone available to receive and check your delivery carefully.

Overseas Shipping

Spares can be shipped absolutely anywhere in the world. To achieve this we use a range of carriers that will deliver spares to your door, customs cleared. However, deliveries to addresses outside of the EU (European Union) may incur import tax and duty, which are not covered by the shipping charge. Under these circumstances you must pay any charges of this nature in order to take delivery of your goods. With the exception of a few large or heavy items all parcels for delivery to European addresses are sent at the standard rates shown in our Shipping section. Where the shipping cost varies from the standard rate we will always advise you of the cost in advance, and your order will not be processed until you have agreed the shipping cost. It is usual for all parcels to require a signature upon delivery.

Discrepancies

Please check your goods thoroughly as any transit damage or shortages must be reported to Midland Sports & Classics within 24 hours of receipt of your goods. No claims will be considered after this period. It is your responsibility to check that you have received the quantity ordered and that nothing is damaged.

Damages

It is unfortunate, but on some occasions items are damaged in transit. For this reason all parcels sent are fully covered against loss of damage, but it is your responsibility to ensure that whoever receives your parcel checks it carefully on delivery, and marks any sign of damage on the delivery note. Claims for parcels which have been signed for as “unchecked” or “not inspected”, and which subsequently turn out to be damaged, will not be covered under the carrier’s terms of insurance. Surcharge Units

Some spares are supplied on an exchange basis. If you purchase these items in advance a surcharge is levied on your old unit until it is returned. Surcharge units must be clean, assembled, complete, un-modified, drained of all fluids where applicable, and suitable for us to recondition and sell to another customer. All surcharge units are marked with your invoice number upon return, and we may deny your surcharge refund if they are considered to be unsuitable for repair by the reconditioner. If you are in any doubt as to the suitability of any surcharge unit we advise you to contact us prior to its return.

Returns

If you order or we supply incorrectly, or you receive an item that is defective, please return it to us. However, if we do not know whom the part is from, or the invoice that it relates to, it is impossible to refund your money or provide a replacement. Therefore, please include purchase details within your package. Parts returned for credit that have been correctly supplied will be subject to a 15% handling charge. Please note that, with the exception of faulty items, no goods that have been retained for longer than 60 days will be considered for credit.
